Book 5 Stockton Wolves Series
Special Agent Niclas Draig was on a mission...well, he was supposed to be. But when sent to Stockton with his partner Jack, to investigate what looked like the work of a serial killer, he walked into the Captain's office and found himself looking at his mate. A mate, who's delicious scent was tinged with deceit as the man looked him in the eye and lied to his face.
Captain Anthony Reynolds was getting tired of the way paranormals played fast and loose with the law and his life. Eighteen months from retirement, the last thing he expected when the FBI came in was to have such a physical reaction to one of the agents. When the same agent blasts him two weeks later for lying, Tony knew his life was going to change. He'd been around paranormals enough to know exactly what the word mate meant. But that didn't mean he had to accept it.
An unguarded moment, a flash of teeth and both men's lives change. Their mating causes problems from every angle and...an unexpected bonus. An abduction, a bomb and Nico's interfering family - will Nico and Tony ever get their HEA?
M/M Paranormal, true mates, HEA

4 StarsEnjoyable read. I enjoy this author’s works, when you read a Lisa Oliver book you know what to expect and she always delivers. This book was no exception.
I love the inclusion of the dragons; I mean who doesn’t love dragons! The dragon family dynamics were great.
I also really enjoyed the relationship between Tony and Nico. Tony really stood his ground against the Nico and his dragon when their expectations were unreasonable and yet admitted when he was wrong. It was also fantastic to see the pack characters from previous books appear and bring Nico, Tony and his son into their pack and family/
My only niggle (and I honestly think it is just me) was the way Tony’s age and appearance was handled. I was really looking forward to an older MC and seeing it just not matter what he looked like, but the way it was handled didn’t sit well with me and it bothered me for the rest of the book. It felt like when you read a book about an overweight character and they lose weight and all of sudden are stunningly beautiful, Even though Nico stated that it didn’t matter what Tony looked like, it sends the message that you have to be young and thin to be attractive to others.
I’ve really enjoyed this series and I’m sad to see it end.

Tell Me The Truth Stockton Wolves Book 5 edition by Lisa Oliver Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I loved this fifth installment of this series. The characters and the returning characters really made this such a good read! And the new characters also made this such a page turner. I really loved Tony and Nico's story the denial , the secrets, misunderstandings and jealous ex all made this such a good story. I would have loved for Tony to really give it to his ex wife and her mate for the way she allowed him and their other children to treat her and Tony's son she didn't handle that situation or acknowledge it at all. But I loved Tony and Nico they made such a great team. I enjoy Ms Oliver's work and can't wait to read more.
I've waited and waited for this to come out and was excited when I read that the Capt. Was getting his own mate. I just never expected what type of shifter his mate would be. I absolutely loved this book!! I was not able to put it down, so luckily I downloaded it after the kids went to bed. I love how these books aren't stuffy and have a sense of humor. I found myself laughing numerous times. This is another one of Lisa's amazing books and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for the other shifters that I've grown to love throughout her other series.
I don't remember how I stumbled across Lisa Oliver, honestly while I adore the paranormal genre, M\M was just never my thing. But her books, I gobble them down as soon as I see them. I have not been disappointed with a single one and honestly they just keep getting better. Tony was has held an important role in each of the Stockton Wolves books and I was so happy he received his own story. That his happy ending is with an amazing mate made it even better. Loved it.

This has been one of my favorite series from Lisa Oliver. Nico and Tony's story did not disappoint. Loved both characters and loved revisiting a lot of the character's from the previous books.
I am really sad to see this series end. I was hoping when reading that the author would take a couple of side characters and give them their own book, but alas it is not to be. Everything is wrapped up nicely by the end of the story.
Highly recommend this book, but I would read the rest of the series before starting this one.
I am really sorry to see this series end, I waited till this book was available before I read the whole series. So this review is for all five of the books. Ms. Oliver had this reader from page one of book one till the closing sentence of book five. Ms. Oliver's writing is very intense at times and then very loving and very detailed! Her obvious research and character development was well though out and shows in her detailed writing's. I have really enjoyed other books by this Author, but none as well as this series, I found it to be thought provoking and very detailed in the story lines. I look forward to your next book and hopefully it will be as well developed and thought out as this series has been! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us your readers. An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.
This is the final story in the Stockton Wolves books. The intriguing Captain finally gets a mate. The story picks up right where book 4 stopped, the F.B.I. is in town looking for the serial killer from book 4. The story finally reveals exactly how the Captain of the Stockton Police department learned of Shifters and gives us a satisfying back story. Unlike the others in the series there is no serial killer normal or paranormal instead it has a timely tale of political corruption.
Nico and the Captain have a rocky start with a series of miscommunication and misunderstandings. Like all of the delightful stories of Lisa Oliver there is a happy ever after the heat level is fairly high and is satisfying.
My review is for this whole series. I avoided it for awhile (why I don't know) until this last book was released. I liked the sound of it and then decided to check out the rest of the books and luckily read them in order (they're much more enjoyable that way). Lisa Oliver has such a way with her characters. They're all likable and fun, yet each one had their own demons to overcome. One of the things I liked most about this series is that she didn't leave characters behind. Even though each book concentrated on two main characters, after the first book they all became a family and were included in some way in each story. I especially liked the way this book ended, since it was the last in the series. I was so afraid Tony's son would be left out.
I did notice one of the earliest reviews on this particular book mentioned that Roan had become Ronan, but that must have been corrected by the time I purchased it, because I didn't find that problem at all.
I also like Ms Oliver's Cloverleah series, and am exploring a couple of her other series. I am amazed, with how many books she writes, at the consistently high quality of her writing and am a solid fan.
